Polyolefins (PO)

Polyolefins are a group of thermoplastics that include polyethylene and polypropylene. They are primarily produced by polymerizing ethylene and propylene, which are mainly sourced from oil and natural gas, though renewable sources like sugarcane can also be used. Thanks to their versatility, polyolefins are the most widely used plastics, accounting for nearly 50% of plastic consumption in Europe.
